This free California break calculator is operated by CTF Designs. We built it to be as private as possible. Here's exactly what happens with your information.

What stays in your browser

When you enter hours manually or upload an Excel or CSV file, all calculations run entirely in your browser (device). That data is never sent to us or anyone else.

What we store

Consent record. When you accept our terms, we store an anonymous device identifier, a timestamp, and your browser's user-agent, so there is a record that the terms were agreed to.
Email (optional). If you choose to enter an email, we store it only with that consent record. We do not send marketing spam.
Local storage. We keep a small flag on your device so you don't have to re-accept the terms each visit.

PDF uploads

If (and only if) you upload a PDF, it may be sent to our server to extract its text (needed for scanned images). We process it in memory, never store it, delete it immediately, and do not use it to train anything. It travels over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. If you want maximum privacy, upload a CSV or Excel file instead — those never leave your browser.

We never sell your data

We do not sell or rent your information. If in the future we offer to connect you with a licensed attorney, that only happens if you explicitly click to consent, you are told exactly what information will be shared, and you receive a copy of it.
